Post-ess with the Most-ess

Welcome to I Remember JB: A Life in Letters. This all started because a former student of my mother's saw a comment I posted on Facebook commemorating the ninth anniversary of JB's death. This former student decided to write me a letter and let me know how much my mom meant to her. What she said moved me beyond tears, beyond words and straight into action. Amber, I cannot tell you how much I thank you!

I have heard countless stories throughout the years from people whose lives were made better because my mother was in them, and I thought it would be a nice idea to provide a vehicle for folks to share their memories. My family and I are unsure what we'd like to do with these, but I know how much remembering her moves us, and what a treat it is to know more about her, even after her death. It reminds us that she is still with us all, wherever we choose to keep her: in our minds, nestled in a corner of our heart, in a small glass star that we stumble upon from time to time, or anywhere else she may fit.

If you remember JB, please take a minute to let me know why.
